During their journey through the florian triangle, the straw hats arrive on a seemingly haunted island called thriller bark, where they encounter. However thriller bark much like skypeia, is much better in the manga in my opinion. I don't think it was necessarily the story that i disliked but the pacing. It's bad enough that moriah runs from luffy for the majority of the arc, so in the anime it felt even more dragged out. Loyalty, identity, depression, touches on the meaning of love, and a lot of thematic symbolism towards the dawn.
