Even as willow lay in a hospital bed due to an injury she sustained while angelus (angels evil half) team kidnapped giles, she never lost confidence in herself and in her abilities to help. There were so many times when they had a dilemma that i thought that willow can easily solve it but they never even thought of her. I mean, if she managed to almost destroy the world, she could do almost anything else. They really didn't explore her abilities as well as they could've.

To the surprise of many fans, after being such a lovable scooby gang member for so many years, willow turned into one of buffy's most formidable foes before season six came to a close. Seeing willow turn into the big bad, dark willow, was an unexpected and startling twist in the story. Obviously, willow is one of the central characters of buffy the vampire slayer, and alyson hannigan gives an iconic performance. That performance is so iconic, in fact, that it's almost impossible to imagine anyone else in the role. However, that is very nearly what happened, as hannigan was nowhere to be seen in buffy's unaired original pilot!
