Lexington high school has enjoyed a rich history of excellence in choral music from as far back as the 1930s. It features popular christmas music and traditional carols performed by the university of kentucky opera theatre, winners of the alltech vocal scholarship competition and special guest singers. They perform for local schools, churches, civic clubs, as well as workshops and clinics. They have consistently received superior ratings at state choral festivals and other choral events.
