Joan Porco’s Genius: Deconstructed

Sixteen years ago, joan porco's son, christopher, was convicted of using an ax to murder her husband, peter porco, and badly maim her. But through the years, she's stood by her son, insisting. Inside the couples bedroom, a bloodied ax sat upon the floor.

There were no fingerprints on the weapon and no one was in the home when they arrived. Someone had killed peter porco and had very nearly killed his wife, now it was up to the officers to find out who. First, though, they needed to get joan to a hospital. One morning in late 2004, peter and joan porco were discovered in their quiet suburban home with massive head injuries inflicted by an axe.

Peter a new york state appellate division court clerk died later that day. Joan survived, but continues to have severe facial disfigurement. The neurosurgeon who operated on joan porcos skull fractures after the ax attack inside the porco familys brockley drive home in november 2004, said her severe injuries could cause memory. Convicted murderer christopher porco is set to appeal his guilty verdict after 17 years, and he has the full support of the mother he is said to have brutally maimed. Joan defended christopher all the way.
