Ego and laziness are the traits that, in my opinion, largely drive the guys that dont work out.

Be happy with what you get. Stack everything that can scale up your damage. Always avoid reactor (the map with the door that locks when you press a button on the floor until you beat all bosses). Try and increase your dupe as much as possible, take every dupe tech except the one that removes tech on collision.
