I Regret Not Knowing This About The Stardew Valley Silo

The silo is a type of farm building purchasable from robin at the carpenter's shop. It takes two days to build. When complete, it stores hay from grass cut on the farm.

Interacting with the silo just shows it's capacity. Silo supplies are dispensed within the coop/barns, you have to extract from there and place it on the bed/bench inside. I built a silo to help feed my chickens thru the winter, it's completely full. But it doesn't seem like my chickens are eating out of it?

I keep having to buy hay for them. The silo in stardew valley is a must have for any farmer who keeps animals. It saves time storing hay and keeps your animals fed, especially during the winter when grass is no longer available. Building a silo early in the game is setting yourself up for success and keeping your farm running smooth. There's room for three silos vertically with room for a path to grandpa on top, and i put my coop and barn there and walled in from the left side of the greenhouse for grass.
